Product Description
Gentamicin sulfate is a broad spectrum antibiotic. It inhibits the growth of a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, including strains resistant to tetracycline, chloramphenicol, kanamycin, and colistin, particularly strains of Pseudomonas, Proteus, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus. Gentamicin inhibits protein synthesis by binding to L6 protein of 50S ribosomal subunit.

ML 003-03 contains 10 mg/mL gentamicin, sulfate salt in Ultra Pure Water (ML 019-02). Working concentration is 10~15 μg/mL.

Storage/Stability
Gentamicin solution should be stored at -5~-20°C. Deterioration of the liquid may be recognized by (1) precipitate or particulate matter throughout the solution, (2) cloudy appearance, (3) color change, and/or (4) pH change. Product label bears expiration date.
