Product Description
Sodium chloride is a commonly used chemical found in nature and in all body tissue, and is considered an essential nutrient. Although generally not considered poisonous, excess NaCl can destroy electrolyte balance and cause death. Sodium chloride is used in a wide variety of biochemical applications, including intravenous fluids (0.85% in water), density gradients, and as a diluent to increase ionic strength in buffers or culture media.

LS 011-01 contains 9.0 g/L sodium chloride in cell/tissue culture grade water (LS 016-01).

LS 011-02 contains 200.0 g/L sodium chloride in cell/tissue culture grade water (LS 016-01).

LS 106-01 contains 150.0 g/L sodium chloride in cell/tissue culture grade water (LS 016-01).

Storage/Stability
The concentrated sodium chloride solution should be stored at 15~30°C. Deterioration of the solution may be recognized by (1) precipitate or particulate matter throughout the solution, (2) cloudy appearance, (3) color change, and/or (4) pH change. Product label bears expiration date.
